Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “Layer It Up” – showcasing our favorite Designer Series Paper and embellishments. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Today’s card is inspired by the current Arctic Blast that many of us are experiencing. Even here in South Carolina we are having unseasonably cold days and my brother ran outside to show my (almost 2 year old) niece snowflakes falling yesterday in Virginia! We’ve had frost the last few mornings plus I just love the Feels Like Frost designer series paper so I knew I wanted to feature that for today’s card. Since the paper is so beautiful, I really let it do the work on this card and kept the rest of the card simple yet elegant.
In our home, we decorate one of our Christmas trees with ornaments that are all red, white, and silver so I brought that color combination into this card. I love the white and silver from the designer series paper and thought the red would pair perfectly with it. I used one of the Toile Tidings glitter enamel dots in the center of the large snowflake and the silver metallic-edge ribbon to add even more sparkle and shine to the card.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 11th, for our Retirement Fun Fold Party when our Design Team showcase projects using retiring products from the Holiday Catalog with a fun fold card. Don’t miss the fun!
