Pals June Blog Hop: Pick a “B”

2017badge-denimWelcome to the June 2017 Pals Blog Hop. Thank you so much for joining us today. This month’s theme, Pick a “B”, features projects inspired by Babies, Birthdays and Brides to name few. You may just get a glimpse of new catalog products while you hop with us today.

Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.

The Bike Ride bundle was the first on my list of products I just had to have from the new catalog. My husband and I love to go bike riding and there are so many fun stamps and framelits in this bundle that you can use it over and over with a different look each time. Today I used the bundle to make a birthday card.

I like to try and use different stamp sets together in the same card. Today I used the gift stamp from the Weather Together set on both the inside and outside of my card. I absolutely love the fonts in the Beautiful Bouquet set so I used that for the sentiment. I used Balloon Celebration and Bike Ride on the front of the card.

Dog gone cute birthday

My father-in-law has a little brown dog similar to ours (they are actually related to each other). I wanted to incorporate the pup into his birthday card. I used the party hat from the No Bones about It set which gives a great touch to the turtle.

Happy Birthday: Tools

My husband reminded me that his uncle’s birthday is coming up so today I decided to work in his card. Since retiring, his uncle has started taking up woodworking and we actually got to see a piece he made at Christmas. I figured the Nailed It stamp set would be perfect for his card. I also used the Big on Birthdays Set that I highlighted in a previous post.

Beachy Birthday

In just a few weeks, we are heading to Maui, Hawaii for our honeymoon. My husband asked for a birthday card for a colleague who has traveled to Maui many times and gave us a book highlighting places we should visit. I wanted to come up with a birthday card that felt like the beach; the By the Shore DSP and Mixed Drinks stamp set helped me achieve that with this card.

Big on Birthdays Set

One of my favorite sets in the 2017 Occasions Catalog is Big on Birthdays. I hope you enjoy some of the cards I’ve made with this set. In my last blog post, I used parts of this set to create a Thinking of You card.

Here are the stamps that are part of the Big on Birthdays set followed by some of the cards I’ve designed with them:
