Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Cute Critters” – showcasing their card/project with adorable animals, birds, or insects for any occasion. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I needed a card for a family friend whose daughter just had twins. I kept looking through all of my stamps sets and was having a hard time coming up with an idea. Then, I realized that this card was the perfect opportunity to use the mirror image stamping technique to showcase an image. I thought these elephants would be perfect. I watched a few different video tutorials on the technique which involves stamping the first image onto a silicon mat on my stamparatus. Then placing the paper on the silicon mat and applying pressure to get the image to transfer over. I love that the Playful Alphabet Dies can help you create any sentiment you want. I decided to keep things simple and spell out “Twins!”.
I ran my Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray cardstock through the Detailed Hearts Die in order to get the little heart shapes coming out of the trunks of the elephants like confetti. I used paper from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to line the envelope – it reminded me of an elephant and seemed like a perfect way to tie the theme of the card.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 14th when our theme is “Great Family Occasions” when our Design Team creates a project for any special occasion. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft space.
